Right to Grow Newham

Right to Grow in Newham Newham is a community initiative, that focuses on utilising unused public land for community food growing initiatives, allowing residents to cultivate food and support local biodiversity. 

We focus on identifying and repurposing neglected public spaces to transform them into spaces for community gardening. We foster community involvement by connecting residents with land that can be cultivated, promote social interaction and cooperation. We encourages residents to engage in growing their own food, enabling local food production, which improves access to fresh and healthy food options for residents.

Our aims are to enhance community well-being and access to healthy food, which supports well being and creates a sense of community.
